Offering the largest exhibition hall in the South Island, Te Pae Christchurch is the new home of high profile exhibitions and showcase events.

With 2,800m² of ground floor exhibition space, expandable up to 3,300m², Te Pae Christchurch can host up to 210 exhibitor booths. The exhibition hall is also designed to provide real flexibility to allow it to be configured to the ideal design for your event – with the ability to be divided into four separate halls and meeting rooms.

Easy access through four foyer areas and large reception spaces, with highly visible wayfinding signage, allow you to welcome large numbers of visitors to your exhibition, while easily-accessible meeting rooms and other break-out spaces enable your exhibitors to manage their activities and do business away from the bustle of the halls.

Working with our in-house team, and partnering with the city’s leading designers, audio visual and display engineers, we can help you design a one-off or regular showcase event that will make a lasting impression.   


Technical Specifications  - Exhibition Halls

Ceiling Height

Clear ceiling height of 10.1m in Halls 1–4. Clear ceiling height of 5m in Dobson River Rooms.


2 tonne point load capacity with a 9mx6m rigging grid. A perimeter catwalk provides access to the ceiling grid; with 40 amp and 3 phase power to drop from ceiling.

Floor Service Pits

Dry pits: Single phase , 3 phase, 15 and 32 amp power and data on a 9mx6m grid.  

Wet pits: Water and drainage on the north perimeter of Halls 1-3 and east perimeter of Hall 4. 

Halls are fully carpeted with carpet tiles which can be lifted to access floor service pits.

Hospitality Rooms

3 hospitality rooms are located above the exhibition floor. Windows provide visible oversight to Hall 3.



2 dedicated F&B kiosks within Exhibition Halls 2 and 3 provide catering services for exhibitors and guests.

Wayfinding and commercial billboard opportunities will be available throughout the venue.
