Sustainable Hospitality
Supporting local, reducing waste

Sustainability is an important part of our food and beverage offering. We work closely with local suppliers, with 91.6% of our food and beverage suppliers based locally, supporting Canterbury businesses while reducing food miles and associated emissions.

At the same time, 99% of food waste is diverted from landfill through a combination of food rescue, onsite processing and composting initiatives, helping create positive environmental and community outcomes across Ōtautahi Christchurch.

Through partnerships with organisations such as Kairos Food Rescue and Full Bellies, surplus food is redirected to people who need it most, extending the impact of our food rescue efforts beyond Te Pae and into the local community.
