At Te Pae Christchurch our team is passionate about supporting and showcasing our local region to ensure our delegates receive a true taste of Canterbury when they visit us.
As a key piece of Christchurch’s regeneration infrastructure, we recognise that we have a role to play in supporting the growth and success of our city, which is one of the reasons we have implemented a purchase local philosophy.
In the last few months we also have signed a host of our local suppliers, starting with Canterbury-based Sherwood Estate Wines. As the supplier for our classic wine package, this fantastic local winery shares our commitment to quality and community, and is the perfect example of that philosophy.
Akaroa Salmon has been signed as our preferred supplier for all our salmon needs. One of the pioneers of salmon farming in New Zealand, over its 30+ year history the company’s sustainable approach to hand-rearing salmon has ensured a not only a quality product, but also contributed to the long-term protection of the environment.
We have also partnered with some smaller Canterbury-based artisan producers including Robinson’s Bay Olive Oil, Charing Cross Cheesery, Little Farm Goat Dairy and Poaka, who produce handcrafted pork-based cured products.
While we are in the process of finalising our last few key suppliers, we remain on the lookout for more local likeminded business to support.
