- Green building design - NZGC 5 Star Green Building Rating, demonstrates New Zealand excellence in sustainable building design
- Local food & beverage - 88% local suppliers to reduce food miles, support our local economy, use seasonal produce. We offer plant-based menus, filtered water stations, reusable cups, composting and donation of leftover food to local charities
- Responsible procurement and evaluation of purchases, with sustainability included as a factor in selection
- Re-use before recycle - We avoid the use of single use products wherever possible. For example, providing re-usable coffee cups, milk supplied in kegs for coffee carts, and coffee beans supplied in reusable buckets.
- Food packaging is 100% commercially compostable
- Waste – We are committed to continual improvement of our waste management systems to reduce the quantity of waste produced and divert from landfill. Smart waste sorting, donation of leftover conference items
- Dehydration of 99% organic waste. transforming it into a nutrient dense fertiliser which is donated to local community gardens
- E-water – Installed throughout our venue, E-water is an electrolysed water system containing only tap water and sodium chloride (salt) that produces a highly effective, naturally biodegradable cleaning and sanitising solution that is safe for our environment, employees and guests.
- Intelligent Building Management System - automatically controls our lighting, air conditioning and vertical transport, to minimise the use of environmental resources through scheduling and monitoring.
- Energy, water and emissions – We collect data on all resources consumed such as waste, water consumption, recycling and electricity, working towards a year-on-year reduction.
- Monitor and manage carbon emissions including declaring category 3 indirect emissions
- Digital signage & stand design for menus, wayfinding and programmes (link to event signage guide)
- Event styling & merchandise – anything that can have a second life is repurposed or donated to Creative Junk.
- Reusable event essentials – we provide linen, dinnerware, cutlery, whiteboards, and digital signage options
