Te Pae Christchurch Maintains International ISO Certifications for Quality Management Systems and Food Safety
Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre has once again achieved international certification for Quality Management (ISO 9001:2015) and Food Safety Management (ISO 22000:2018), reinforcing our ongoing commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
The recent external audit confirmed that Te Pae Christchurch continues to meet the requirements of both ISO standards, with no non‑conformances identified. This marks the third consecutive year the venue has successfully maintained both certifications.
ISO 9001:2015 is the internationally recognised standard for quality management systems, focusing on consistent service delivery, robust processes and continual improvement. ISO 22000:2018 sets the global benchmark for food safety management systems, ensuring food is handled safely at every stage, from procurement through to service.
Behind the scenes, these certifications are supported by rigorous day‑to‑day practices across the venue. Our culinary team carries out regular food safety checks, including temperature monitoring and hygiene controls, while teams across Te Pae Christchurch follow documented systems and procedures designed to maintain high standards and reduce risk.
Maintaining international certification requires ongoing review, internal audits and regular independent assessments. This process ensures our systems remain effective, up to date and aligned with international best practice.
Together, these certifications provide assurance to clients, partners and visitors that quality management and food safety are embedded across all aspects of Te Pae Christchurch’s operations - supporting safe, seamless and high‑quality event experiences.
