Te Pae Christchurch named finalist in two categories at EVANZ Awards 2026

We’re pleased to share that Te Pae Christchurch has been named a finalist in two categories at the EVANZ (Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand) Awards 2026, recognising both our venue and one of our team.

Te Pae Christchurch is a finalist for Medium Venue of the Year, while our Director of Culinary Services, Darren Tait, has been named a finalist for Team Member of the Year.

Being recognised in the Medium Venue of the Year category reflects the collective effort of our team and the work that goes into delivering events and experiences at Te Pae Christchurch. EVANZ noted the high calibre of entries received this year, with the judging panel particularly impressed by our submission.

Darren’s nomination recognises his exceptional leadership, commitment to people and lasting contribution to Te Pae Christchurch and the wider business events industry. With more than 30 years’ hospitality experience, Darren leads by example, developing talent, building strong teams and championing Canterbury provenance and sustainability.

Being named finalists across both categories is a proud achievement and a reflection of the dedication and effort of our wider team.
