Te Pae Christchurch named finalists in three categories for The Bizzies 2026
Te Pae Christchurch is proud to be recognised as a finalist in three categories at The Bizzies 2026, Aotearoa's Business Events Awards.
The venue has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Marketing Award, Excellence in Environmental Sustainability Award, and Outstanding Partnership Award, recognising a range of projects and initiatives that have shaped the past year. From showcasing Te Pae Christchurch’s evolving culinary offering and sustainability journey to creating meaningful partnerships across the business events sector, the nominations highlight the breadth of work taking place behind the scenes and the impact it has on clients, delegates and the wider community.
A particular highlight is the Outstanding Partnership Award nomination for Adaptation Futures, delivered in collaboration with Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury, The Conference Company, ChristchurchNZ and Tourism New Zealand Business Events. The event brought together global leaders, researchers and industry experts to explore solutions for climate adaptation and resilience, demonstrating what can be achieved through strong collaboration across research, industry and the business events sector.
Being recognised alongside such a strong group of finalists is a reflection of the collective effort that goes into delivering exceptional events at Te Pae Christchurch. Our team works closely with clients, partners and suppliers to create experiences that not only meet the needs of each event, but also contribute to Christchurch’s reputation as a destination for business events.
The celebrations extend beyond Te Pae Christchurch’s own nominations, with IWA ASPIRE and Water New Zealand Conference & Expo 2025 also named as a finalist in the Innovation Award category. We were proud to welcome this landmark event to Christchurch, which brought 2,494 delegates from 50 countries to the city and became New Zealand’s largest-ever water sector gathering.
Together, these achievements highlight the scale, diversity and impact of business events hosted in Christchurch, and the many people and organisations who help bring them to life.
The winners will be announced at The Bizzies Gala Dinner at Te Pae Christchurch on 28 October 2026.
